First Draft Reflection

In all honesty, I was under the impression that I would be able to get this first draft done in a little amount of time; however, it actually was more difficult than I had anticipated. While looking back at all of the times I was told to write an essay, I realized that I had never actually written a draft. For one, I never had the time to write a first draft to then edit, and rewrite. I also never thought of having to write my essay multiple times, especially because I didn't ever think I would have much more to write about. Writing my first draft was pretty similar to the experience from the text "Shitty First Drafts" because it was not an easy task. But, at the same time, my experience was a bit different because I feel like I had to do more research in order to continue writing my draft, whereas, the author's experience from "Shitty First Drafts" was solely about his own thoughts and opinions. I definitely think that the writing process will only get easier from here on out because all that is left to do is edit what is already written, and then write it again…only about three more times.
