Shitty First Drafts
"Shitty First Drafts" was actually very fun to read. It was as much humorous and entertaining as it was educational. I’ve always been a student that HATED writing drafts for essays. I only felt the need for one essay. Writing, reading, re-writing, re-reading, and re-writing again just seemed so tedious to me because one draft of an essay took long enough as it is. However, this article has been enlightening.
One of my biggest issues when writing was figuring out what to write. I could spend upwards of an hour trying to piece together some semblance of an essay in my head before putting it on paper. But in “Shitty First Drafts,” the idea of approaching the first draft in a juvenile, carefree fashion makes the act of writing drafts, and by extension the whole essay, seem much simpler and less frightening.
I imagine that after gaining the wisdom this article had to offer, writing my drafts for Project 1 won’t be so intimidating.

I agree that it makes it seem less frightening and easier to approach. At times it could even be humorous or fun to say whatever comes to mind.
