Annoying Way

I never really thought much on the ways people use quotes and citations in their writings before. The article showed me that their really is no reason to introduce a quote randomly in the beginning or middle of a paragraph. In order for a writing to flow their needs to be an analyses of the quotes used. Ive always had a problem with deciding where to place my quote and how to continue the flow i was going in after i did. What really helped me understand this was the various examples used in the article. I now understand how some teachers can get annoyed after so many mistakes by students.

    I've had the same issues with quotes! This article helped a lot, it gives good examples

    I also have troubles sometimes on where to put quotes in my writing or how to introduce the quotes, but this article also helped me with the examples.

"Navigating Genres" by Kerry Dirk makes you really think about what a genre is. Whenever I thought about genres, I always thought of it as the type of writing that is being created. All throughout school, we were taught that a genre was used to describe a novel such as nonfiction, fiction, fantasy, science fiction, etc. I never really thought of a piece of writing having a genre but now, after reading Dirk's piece, I now realize that writing does have a genre. Dirk also points out that genres are used to help people accomplish a goal. I never thought a genre could do that. Project 2 Reflection

1)      In this essay I am most proud of the new way in which I learned to write a research paper. I was able to incorporate new writing skills into my paper that I never learned in my high school classes but will aid me in my future writing. 2)      If I had more time to work on this essay I would try to include more specific details to support my topic from a wider range of sources and provide more reasoning to support the legalization of physician assisted suicide. 3)      Peer reviews benefitted my essay the most. This is because it provided me with a lot of constructive feedback that I was able to take into consideration while editing my paper.
