Journal 2: Prompt

1. While writing project one I think I improved most on my ways of explaining example to the audience. The feedback I got was mostly about how I had good example but needed to explain in more detail and with the help of peers and teachers I was able to explain more and have more depth in my paper.
2. The most important thing I learned from this project was that it is okay to have a really bad first draft. You just need to be able to write all of your thoughts down and get it on the page then start to organize. I did this with my first draft and actually ended up writing 2 first drafts, one with all my thoughts and the other more organized with the material I wanted to write about.
3. If I had another week to work on my essay I would probably change my introduction. I think I had a strong introduction but I think if I was allowed more time then I would be able to make it the best I could.
4. If I could rewrite the project prompt I would change the word count to not having a word count. I think that if someone can get their thoughts down in 1000 words then that should be good. When given a word count students often end up rambling to meet the requirements instead of focusing on the topic at hand and getting the most out of their paper.

  1. Hi Hailey
I'm happy to see that the conference and the peer review have helped you in your writing process. Also, hope you continue to take advantage of multiple drafting.
