Journal 2: Prompt

1.  The most improvement that I've done between my first draft and my final draft is making my thesis clear, as well as providing stronger evidence to the piece overall.

2. The most important thing I've learned from the project is that stories may be the same, but each story's genre differentiates the meaning of each, as well as its relevance to the culture. From the conference and peer review, I've learned that summary isn't always necessary when talking about stories, because if I explain several similar aspects about each, I can get the point across. If I go on a tangent, giving an extended summary of each, I can easily lose the point that I'm trying to make and cover it up with useless extra information.

3. If I had another week to work on the essay, I would probably establish a clear outline of what points I would like to make, as well as divide the body paragraphs in a cleaner, more relevant way.

4. If I could rewrite the project prompt, I would most likely change it to be more clear, to be something short like "Compare/contrast each work, identifying the differences in each time period". Besides that, I thought the prompt, project, conference, etc. was wonderful.

  1. Hi Josh
I'm happy you could benefit from the conference and peer review. Also, it's great that you've seen your own improvement throughout your drafts.
