Journal 2
After project 1, I think I improved on analysis and explanations the most. In my first draft I didn't really answer the so what question to its fullest entirety, so through the drafts I feel like I improved on this the most. The most important thing I learned from this project is that drafting is very important in developing a piece of writing. Before this class, drafting really hadn't been part of my process. Or it would only be one revision of the piece. I now know that this is essential for a quality paper. If I had another week to work on the paper, I would add character analysis. I wanted to do this in the paper but it would have overshot the word count and not fit with my already developed thesis. If I could rewrite the project prompt in the syllabus, I would change the year requirements for the piece. I feel like there could have been some cool adaptions of things that did not meet the year requirements.
