Research Topics
I have no idea what I want to do for my research paper, so I'm just going to list stuff.
I like dogs, so I could do something about them. I'm passionate about women's issues, LGBT+ issues, and environmental issues. Those are pretty heavily debated, so I'd have to put a unique spin on them or combine them with other topics to make it less trite. I could write about coffee because I'm exhausted right now and I want caffeine. I'm thinking about breakfast because I haven't eaten. Is breakfast the most important meal of the day? Is caffeine really that effective or is it some kind of placebo effect for some people? I could write about puffins or passports or depression and anxiety or the northern lights or some effects of globalization or the flaws of public education. I could write about food waste or sustainability. Entomophagy is gaining popularity in California to promote sustainability of meat. My friend Alex eats bugs for the novelty. I could write about Latin. How do dead languages benefit anyone? Why are Classics important or not important? How does history shape the modern world? Why doesn't America uphold the values it claims to treasure? I could write about flag burning. There are plenty of forms of protests to write about, especially under the current administration. If I wrote about social issues, I would have to stay objective, which might be hard in some cases, and I'd have to steer clear of the banned topics.
Topics: democracy, dogs, coffee, social issues/protests, breakfast, environment/sustainability, globalization/travel, mental health, history, language, public education.
