Emily N.

I really like that Emily included a graph in her presentation. I thought I made it easier to visually see the achievement level of other students internationally. Her purpose was to provide evidence that the U.S. is falling behind on the academic trail.

Caroline

I found it extremely clever that she used a recipe for zuchinni meatballs as a different genre. Her purpose was to give an easy and tasty recipe to encourage vegetarianism. I thought that was such a smart idea and would’ve enver thought of that.

Analeza

I enjoyed the way that Analeza set up her wix website. It was organized and provided information, along with hashtags. I also like that there were music videos included to represent the change in music over the years.

Kiana walker

I really enjoyed this presentaition because it taught me a lot. I really liked tat she included statistics and was really passionate about her topic. She included a resume as her subversion, which I think is so smart for a topic so serious. Sex trafficking is not a joke. I LOVED that she named the person Hope.

Josh liles

I thought this presentation was pretty comedic. I really like that he included black and white pictures and compared them to colorful pictures to show life is more vibrant and interesting with color. The tide pod thing to clean the ocean was hilarious.

Lauren b

I like how Lauren made memes because they are really funny. The purpose of making memes is to catch the readers attention on serious topic by joking about it. I like how Lauren used a trend that was huge last year called #strictparents.

Sydney

I really liked the memes that Sydney made, particularly the one that said, “when someone likes meat on twitter” and showed a picture of a little girl with a stank face. I thought this was a comedic way to represent vegetarians, along with catching my attention and making the presentation more memorable.  

Garret Podolan

I really liked the picture Garret made of politicians with Franklin the turtle. It symbolizes that our politicians think their jobs are a joke and can do whatever they want. The picture helps raise awareness for corrupt politicians.

Hailey

The purpose of Hailey’s Facebook page is to help people who are looking to get education as a physician’s assistant. The page provides information and statistics about being a physician’s assistant that helps the audience find a school.

Leah

I loved how Leah made a poem that also had a visual representation of what she was describing. I found it so clever to show the losing and gaining of weight from a little diagram on the side. It is a visual representation that shows fad diets don’t work.

Alexis A

I loved Alexis’ poem. He articulated so well and sounded extremely powerful while talking. I thought the poem was beautiful and shows the struggle that so many Cubans go through. I also loved that he played the guitar at the end. That was cute.

Hannah lipmam

I thought Hannah did a really good job subverting a genre that was not funny. I liked the little youtube video she played because it provided comedic relief to  very serious situation.

I loved the memes that Juily made. They were so funny. I especially enjoyed the one that says, “when you caught your lunch and it is trying to escape.” I like that she chose a topic that relates to cultural ideals.
