Chapter 5 Response
Chapter 5, "Exploring Topics and Creating A Research Proposal" highlights three necessary aspects when writing a research paper including the research topic itself, the proposal, and bibliography. I think the advice provided regarding the ways to narrow down a broad research topic is very beneficial and can be used when choosing a topic for Project Two. Additionally, I thought the examples of a written proposal and the two types of bibliographies were ideal to include within this chapter because they allow us to acknowledge how we can organize our own proposal and bibliography. In reference to the section regarding bibliographies, I was very intrigued when reading about the annotated bibliography as I never had to create this form of a bibliography before. Thus, I am intrigued to incorporate this type of bibliography within the next project in this class and within my other classes, as well. Overall, this chapter brought to my attention the various ways to narrow down your research topic to write a thorough research paper.
I completely agree about the importance of narrowing down your topic.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the inclusion of the bibliography, it helped to see an ideal bibliography and the ways in which a good one can vary.
