Journal 2: Prompt

1. After completing my first draft and fins draft, major improvements were made. I was able to expand on thoughts, add intriguing and deeper analysis, connect it smoothly back to my thesis, and overall compose a smooth final draft. My best overall improvement was made in connecting points and examples back to my thesis statement.
2. The most important thing i learned from this project was the importance of shitty first drafts. Rather then completing the essay all in 1 sitting, I was actually required to submit a really rough first draft and overall, I personally believe my essay was better off. In the future I will be sure to complete a shitty first draft before completing my final draft.
3. If I had one more week on my essay I would change very little. I feel as though after the peer review, I was able to clearly identify the weak spots in my essay and then fix them.
4. The project prompt that was written in the syllabus was of great use while writing the essay. It was very clear as to what I was being asked to analyze and what the essay had to primarily focus on. As I referenced back to the instructions, my essay kept improving and improving. I would change very little about the prompt instructions in the syllabus.

  1. Hi Analeza
I'm happy to see you learned how shitty first drafts are important. It allows you to go back to it on a different day and re-think your choices.
