Taylor: Concussion Protocol
          I really liked how she had lots of examples of different plays, it really showed how often they happen and how serious they can be.
Sarah: Gender
          If it was my project, I would have also included a journal in a girl’s point of view to compare the difference.
Luke: Makeup
          I liked the questions he surveyed on people, it was interesting to see the amount of people who feel they need to wear makeup and also the age people started wearing makeup.
Logan Green: Music
          I really like the poem, it was deep statement to tell the audience that individual music should be free and able to be made by the artist.
Emily Melcher: Vegetaism
          I really like how the blog post went into detail on all the different aspects of vegetaism, and has a wide variety of topics which got her topic across well.
Amiyah Lytle: Mass Shooting
          I liked how the video preview showed the reality of mass shooting and the different view of it is showed by the point of view as someone during the shooting when we normally just see after the fact view.
John: Cryptocurrency
          If it was my project, I would have explained the topic better by either talking about it or having one of the genres describe it.
Sean:
          I liked how the blog had each post in a timeline order, it shows the change of the view from the past to now.
Madison: Social media use
          I like how the blog post first talked about the topic, then showed the issue, and then ended up positive posts to try and change the mood of the blog. 
Emily Stock: Physician Assisted Suicide:

          I like how the survey showed that even though people said it should be illegalized, more people reported on them not willing to do it.

After reading this chapter I realized that choosing a genre is an important and rather strenuous task, as one needs to execute the process to their own liking.   In my own personal experiences, I was never given the opportunity to explore the various genres offered, as I was always told to write a certain way in order to receive passable scores on either the AP and AICE examinations.   Therefore, this article on genres and the different ways to relay your central message to the audience was very intriguing to me.   Additionally, this chapter further enhanced my knowledge on the three rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos, and logos.   My tenth grade AICE English Language class briefly explained these devices, so I was always very eager to learn more about using these appeals within my own ideas and the variations within each.   Thus, these appeals will help correlate the various forms of media layouts used to capture the readers’ or the audiences’ attentions which, in my opinion, is an

Project 2 Reflection

1)      In this essay I am most proud of the new way in which I learned to write a research paper. I was able to incorporate new writing skills into my paper that I never learned in my high school classes but will aid me in my future writing. 2)      If I had more time to work on this essay I would try to include more specific details to support my topic from a wider range of sources and provide more reasoning to support the legalization of physician assisted suicide. 3)      Peer reviews benefitted my essay the most. This is because it provided me with a lot of constructive feedback that I was able to take into consideration while editing my paper. The teacher review also helped me inn a similar way because it gave me some direction with where to go with my essay. 4)      While writing this project I was able to learn a different way of writing a research paper in which I have previously done in high school. This paper was more formal than other research papers I have written.

Action Plan

Based on the feedback I received from the peer review session, there are minimal aspects to my research paper that need to be changed. The most important change that needs to be completed before submitting my final draft is I need to make sure to fully develop my opinions within my conclusion. I also believe that there are a few sentences that could be enhanced within my literature review. I believe that these changes will make my essay more coherent to readers.
