-          I really liked the pamphlet she made. It was put together very well and contained a lot of information about her research topic. It was also very appropriate for her audience which was parents.

-          She created memes as her subversive piece. The purpose was to be funny and make people who are not vegetarian feel bad about themselves.

-          I really like her poem remediation. It was the adaption that most related to her paper. The shape of her poem was to show how you lose weight from FAD diets at first, but then you go back to the same weight you were.

-          The purpose of the poem’s speaker is to show a Cuban guy that is having a dream that the girl abandoned him, but he woke up to realize it did not happen.

-          The purpose of the poster remediation was to bring awareness to post-traumatic stress disorder.

"Navigating Genres" by Kerry Dirk makes you really think about what a genre is. Whenever I thought about genres, I always thought of it as the type of writing that is being created. All throughout school, we were taught that a genre was used to describe a novel such as nonfiction, fiction, fantasy, science fiction, etc. I never really thought of a piece of writing having a genre but now, after reading Dirk's piece, I now realize that writing does have a genre. Dirk also points out that genres are used to help people accomplish a goal. I never thought a genre could do that. I always thought it was used to just categorize novels or short stories but, now that I have read this piece, I now realize that genres are important because, if you write in the wrong genre, the message that you want to portray can come across completely differently then you had intended. Taylor   I really liked the video that Taylor made because it was a good visual representation for people who don’t like football. Personally, I like football, so I think it is necessary to have more research done for the players wellbeing. Sarah I really liked how Sarah chose such a relevant topic to today’s times. I really liked her journal entries because it showed how much a person is affected by others. No one should be judged based on their gender. Luke B I really like that he used a survey because it gave a semi accurate representation of the people here. I think it’s really funny that he chose the topic of makeup because most of the girls here always are done up. Kathryn The Spotify playlist was a very unique idea.
