Taylor Wilhelmy: I like how she did a video, which was different than other people’s projects, I think it is an interesting adaptation of a research paper. It represents what happens when someone gets a concussion in a way that is engaging.
Sarah Liem: I like the journal entries because it is a narrative. I think it flows well and works with the purpose of the research paper well.
Luke Berard: I like this project a lot. It is creative and exemplifies the topic through different genres that are informative and visually appealing
Kathryn Herlihy: I like how the genres are intertwined and unique while still focusing on the research topic
Logan Green: I love this poem because it is informative and flows well, I think this genre was a great adaption, because music is poetry too.
Emily Stock: I like the poem, because it is informative for a younger audience, even though it is a serious topic
Amiyah Lytle: I like this trailer because it is a very extreme way to adapt the topic, the way it makes you feel is intense.
John Martinez: I like the interview because it is a real life scenario that is relatable to the topic that is usually more complex
Sean Keenan: I like the timeline because it provides graphs and charts to show the adaptation of ebooks through time

Madison Hill: I like this blog because it relates to a younger audience and is engaging while still being informative

After reading this chapter I realized that choosing a genre is an important and rather strenuous task, as one needs to execute the process to their own liking.   In my own personal experiences, I was never given the opportunity to explore the various genres offered, as I was always told to write a certain way in order to receive passable scores on either the AP and AICE examinations.   Therefore, this article on genres and the different ways to relay your central message to the audience was very intriguing to me.   Additionally, this chapter further enhanced my knowledge on the three rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos, and logos.   My tenth grade AICE English Language class briefly explained these devices, so I was always very eager to learn more about using these appeals within my own ideas and the variations within each.   Thus, these appeals will help correlate the various forms of media layouts used to capture the readers’ or the audiences’ attentions which, in my opinion, is an

Project 2 Reflection

1)      In this essay I am most proud of the new way in which I learned to write a research paper. I was able to incorporate new writing skills into my paper that I never learned in my high school classes but will aid me in my future writing. 2)      If I had more time to work on this essay I would try to include more specific details to support my topic from a wider range of sources and provide more reasoning to support the legalization of physician assisted suicide. 3)      Peer reviews benefitted my essay the most. This is because it provided me with a lot of constructive feedback that I was able to take into consideration while editing my paper. The teacher review also helped me inn a similar way because it gave me some direction with where to go with my essay. 4)      While writing this project I was able to learn a different way of writing a research paper in which I have previously done in high school. This paper was more formal than other research papers I have written.

Action Plan

Based on the feedback I received from the peer review session, there are minimal aspects to my research paper that need to be changed. The most important change that needs to be completed before submitting my final draft is I need to make sure to fully develop my opinions within my conclusion. I also believe that there are a few sentences that could be enhanced within my literature review. I believe that these changes will make my essay more coherent to readers.
