Journal 2: Prompt

While writing project 1, the thing I think I most improved on between the first draft and final draft was being able to take the examples and differences that I started with in the first draft and connect them to my thesis about how it relates to genre conventions and also understand the “so what” of how the connections change that overall storyline.
The most important thing I learned from this project is the usefulness of creating drafts. Before this project, I never have written multiple drafts, I would just write it all through, but after this project, I see the importance of setting a basis and getting a review before then expanding on it to help be able to look back and understand what I am trying to convey.
If I had another week to write my essay, I think I would have had more time to make sure it flowed and that there were no grammar mistakes.
I do not think I would rewrite the prompt in the syllabus, I liked the topic and thought that it was interesting to be able to write on and helped understand the concept of genre conventions. Also, the topic is broad made it easier to be able to pick something that seems interesting to me.
