What are you most proud of in this essay?
- To be quite honest I'm proud that I got it done, it may not be the best but then again it was also my first ever research paper I have had to write.  I am also pretty proud of my overall message behind the essay.

What would you change or add in the essay if you were given more time?
- I would honestly read through it again and make sure that the grammar and sentences flow well.

Considering all of the steps we took, which one benefitted you the most?
- The step that actually benefitted me the most was having that conference on my paper/ first draft.  Without that conference I don't even want to know how that essay would've turned out.

In terms of writing and the topic of your essay, what did you learn?
- Well, I learned how to write a research essay, along with a few facts about makeup that I hadn't known before hand.

If you could, what would you change about this assignment?
- If I could change something about this assignment it would be the type of essay written.  I would essentially want to change it to a more informative essay besides argumentative.

After reading this chapter I realized that choosing a genre is an important and rather strenuous task, as one needs to execute the process to their own liking.   In my own personal experiences, I was never given the opportunity to explore the various genres offered, as I was always told to write a certain way in order to receive passable scores on either the AP and AICE examinations.   Therefore, this article on genres and the different ways to relay your central message to the audience was very intriguing to me.   Additionally, this chapter further enhanced my knowledge on the three rhetorical appeals of ethos, pathos, and logos.   My tenth grade AICE English Language class briefly explained these devices, so I was always very eager to learn more about using these appeals within my own ideas and the variations within each.   Thus, these appeals will help correlate the various forms of media layouts used to capture the readers’ or the audiences’ attentions which, in my opinion, is an

Project 2 Reflection

1)      In this essay I am most proud of the new way in which I learned to write a research paper. I was able to incorporate new writing skills into my paper that I never learned in my high school classes but will aid me in my future writing. 2)      If I had more time to work on this essay I would try to include more specific details to support my topic from a wider range of sources and provide more reasoning to support the legalization of physician assisted suicide. 3)      Peer reviews benefitted my essay the most. This is because it provided me with a lot of constructive feedback that I was able to take into consideration while editing my paper. The teacher review also helped me inn a similar way because it gave me some direction with where to go with my essay. 4)      While writing this project I was able to learn a different way of writing a research paper in which I have previously done in high school. This paper was more formal than other research papers I have written.

Action Plan

Based on the feedback I received from the peer review session, there are minimal aspects to my research paper that need to be changed. The most important change that needs to be completed before submitting my final draft is I need to make sure to fully develop my opinions within my conclusion. I also believe that there are a few sentences that could be enhanced within my literature review. I believe that these changes will make my essay more coherent to readers.
