Presentations

Emily Nadel: The purpose of the genre was to inform parents how they can be involved in their child's education, and focus more on their academics instead of the extracurricular activities.

Caroline Bing: I like that the project includes a recipe, Zucchini Meatballs,  that can show how vegetarians can use substitutes for meat that are also delicious and have healthy benefits.

Analeza Newman: The Instagram page helped the audience who have not heard about certain artists to learn facts about an artist and listen to samples of their music.

Josh Liles: I like the ad campaign showing how important color is to the color reefs by showing pictures with and without color. The article, which was about Tide adding color to the coral reefs, was interesting as an subversion.

Lauren Bodden: I like the use of the memes to show different facial expressions and emotions when  having strict parents.

Sydney Sawyer: The memes were amusing because they included false ideas about vegetarianism such as how vegetarians are very critically of people who eat meat.

Garret Podolan: The purpose of the online survey was to show how people may have misconceptions about corporate tax cuts, and to test people's knowledge about corporate tax cuts.

Hailey Maksymiak: The Facebook page helped to provide how the education of physician assistants are important in the medical field.

Leah Putnal: The poem helps an audience, specifically a younger audience, that fad diets do not account to long term success because they eliminate large groups that are needed in a person's diet.

Alexis Aguila: The poem was very creative because it metaphorically speaks about how a Cuban man has been abandoned by Lady Liberty, and the connection to the Cuban embargo placed by the United States.

Gaby Boudani:  The poem shows how service dogs are very helpful in soothing veterans who suffer from PTSD, and how PTSD does have a major impact on the lives of veterans.

Hannah Lipman: The video subverts the topics of euthanasia by marketing euthanasia as a alternative option when a person suffers from a untreatable disease.

Julie Cotton:  The memes about entomophagy use a amusing spin towards to benefits of eating bugs.
